Job summary

Arrow Electronics India Pvt Ltd in Ahmedabad is seeking a Solutions Engineer I to contribute to Linux kernel and device driver development for embedded platforms. You will work with Yocto/Buildroot and major MCU families, translating hardware datasheets into robust firmware concepts.

Strong ownership, fast learning, and communication skills are essential. The role emphasizes hands-on development with tools such as oscilloscope, protocol analyzers, emulators, and JTAG, alongside collaboration

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Linux device drivers and Linux Kernel programming.
• Familiar with Yocto/Buildroot or other build systems.
• Experience with embedded microprocessors from major vendors (Qualcomm, TI, NXP, NVIDIA, Intel).
• Understanding of hardware schematics and datasheets to derive firmware solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and port kernel drivers and BSPs for embedded devices.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to deliver firmware solutions.
• Document designs, reviews, and maintain clear code and tests.

Job Description: Strong knowledge for Linux device drivers, Linux Kernel Programming, Linux Kernel Internals, Yocto / Buildroot or any other build systems Experience working with development tools like oscilloscope, protocol analyser, emulator, signal generator, JTAG programmer, GIT, SVN, JIRA. Experience working with different embedded microprocessor based on Qualcomm, TI, NXP, NVIDIA, Intel or similar Experience of Board support package, Device driver and boot loader development/porting.
