Job summary

AddSoft Technologies is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer IoT to design and develop embedded firmware, PCB hardware, and connected IoT devices. The role covers full product lifecycle ownership from schematic & PCB design to firmware development, testing, and deployment.

Responsibilities include developing firmware for microcontrollers, working with FreeRTOS/Zephyr, and implementing OTA updates, device drivers, and secure communications for IoT platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded firmware development for microcontroller-based systems.
• Familiarity with RTOS like FreeRTOS/Zephyr.
• Ability to design PCB schematics and multi-layer PCBs.

• Work with RTOS (FreeRTOS / Zephyr) for real-time applications.
• Design schematics and multi-layer PCBs for embedded and IoT devices.
• Generate BOM, Gerber files, and support PCB fabrication & assembly.
• Implement device communication interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN).
• Enable secure device provisioning and OTA update mechanisms.

AddSoft Technologies is hiring an Embedded Systems Engineer IoT to design and develop embedded firmware, PCB hardware, and connected IoT devices. The role involves full product lifecycle ownership—from schematic & PCB design to firmware development, testing, and deployment.

Roles & Responsibilities

Embedded Firmware Development

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontroller-based systems
  
• Work with RTOS (FreeRTOS / Zephyr) for real-time applications
  
• Develop device drivers, communication stacks, and OTA update mechanisms
  
• Optimize firmware for low power consumption and performance
  
• Debug firmware using JTAG, SWD, logic analyzer, and oscilloscope
  

PCB Design & Hardware Development

• Design schematics and multi-layer PCBs for embedded and IoT devices
  
• Select components including MCUs, sensors, power ICs, and communication modules
  
• Generate BOM, Gerber files, and support PCB fabrication & assembly
  
• Perform board bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting
  
• Ensure EMI/EMC and power integrity best practices
  

IoT & Connectivity

• Implement communication interfaces: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN
  
• Work with wireless technologies: Wi-Fi, BLE, LoRa, GSM/NB-IoT
  
• Integrate devices with cloud platforms (AWS IoT / Azure IoT / MQTT brokers)
  
• Implement secure device communication and provisioning
  

Testing & Deployment

• Perform system integration testing and field trials
  
• Support manufacturing, production testing, and deployment
  
• Create technical documentation and user manuals
