Generac Power Systems Inc. seeks an experienced Embedded QA/IoT tester to validate gateway firmware, Azure IoT workflows, and OTA update lifecycles on Linux/RTOS gateways.

You will author test cases for Modbus, CAN, and networking protocols, develop automated tests in Python/C++, and contribute to CI/CD integration and HIL test rigs. 3+ years in embedded testing is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in embedded system testing, QA engineering, or IoT device validation.

Responsabilités

• Test embedded C++ firmware on Linux/RTOS-based gateways and validate Azure IoT Hub workflows.
• Develop and execute test cases for Modbus RTU/TCP, CAN bus, and other industrial protocols.
• Create automated test suites using Python or C++ and integrate into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform debugging via logs, traces, core dumps, and protocol captures; report defects.
• Validate OTA/firmware update workflows using hawkBit and SWUpdate under stressed conditions.
• Contribute to test tool development and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) setups.
