Job summary

X-Rite India Private Limited is seeking a software test automation engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation for embedded software products. You will implement automated functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end test suites while collaborating with cross-functional teams in Bengaluru.

You will integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, improve automation coverage, and support hardware-in-the-loop and test environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of professional experience in software test automation, quality engineering, software development, or related technical roles.
• Experience and training in most of the following areas are required: Proven experience developing automated test frameworks and automated test suites.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as PyTest, GoogleTest, Robot Framework, or similar technologies.
• Experience working with CI/CD platforms and automated build pipelines.
• Familiarity with Linux development environments and command-line tools.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies, defect tracking, and quality assurance processes.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.

• Experience with device communication protocols such as USB, Bluetooth, Ethernet, Serial, or TCP/IP.
• Exposure to AI-assisted software development and testing tools.
