Tata Elxsi, Inc. is seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Technical Lead / SME to steer architecture, design, and development of embedded software across product lifecycles in Pune, India.

The role requires hands-on expertise in embedded C/C++, MCU firmware, and real-time systems, with a focus on safety-critical or regulated environments; strong leadership and collaboration across hardware, software and cloud components are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on embedded C/C++ development and debugging.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M/A microcontrollers and peripherals.
• Knowledge of RTOS concepts, device drivers, BSP/HAL and real-time design.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices for embedded products; cybersecurity basics.

Responsabilités

• Lead embedded firmware architecture, design, development and technical reviews.
• Define firmware interfaces with hardware, sensors, actuators, software and cloud components.
• Oversee firmware debugging, root-cause analysis and performance optimizations.
• Review source code, design docs and interfaces for quality and traceability.
• Support legacy firmware, modernization and platform migration.

Description du poste

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Firmware Technical Lead / SME who can provide strong technical leadership across embedded software/firmware architecture, design, development, debugging, verification, and product lifecycle engineering.

Experience in medical devices, safety-critical systems, or other regulated product-development environments is highly preferred.

Firmware Technical Leadership

• Lead embedded firmware architecture, design, development and technical reviews.
• Develop and review firmware architecture including:
• Define firmware interfaces with hardware, sensors, actuators, application software and cloud/connectivity components.
• Hands-on understanding of embedded C/C++ development and debugging.
• Lead complex firmware debugging and root-cause analysis.
• Review source code, design documentation, interfaces, and technical implementation.
• Support legacy firmware understanding, reverse engineering, modernization and platform migration.
