Job summary

AMEC Technology in Bengaluru, Karnataka, is seeking an Embedded Design Engineer to develop firmware for inverter control. You will work on PWM, MPPT, DC-DC/DC-AC loops and real-time energy management.

You will collaborate with hardware and power electronics teams to ensure robust MCU integration, CAN/UART/Modbus/I2C, IoT data logging, OTA updates, and secure cloud communication. On-site role with growth potential.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in embedded firmware development for inverter control.
  • Hands-on experience with MCU families (STM32/TI C2000/NXP/ESP32).
  • Experience implementing CAN, UART, RS485, I2C, Modbus, BLE and MQTT.
  • Familiarity with IoT/cloud integration and OTA updates.
  • Ability to work with hardware teams on inverter control boards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop embedded firmware for inverter control including PWM, MPPT, and DC-DC/DC-AC control loops.
  • Implement real-time control logic for energy management and power conversion systems.
  • Develop and optimize firmware for performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Work with MCU hardware integration including sensors, gate drivers, ADCs, and power stages.
  • Implement and maintain communication protocols (CAN, UART, RS485, I2C, Modbus, BLE, MQTT) and IoT/cloud integration.
  • Validate firmware on prototypes through functional, load, and stress testing; debug cross-domain issues; ensure EMI/EMC alignment.

We're hiring a Embedded Design Engineer at AMEC Technology.
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Industry: Renewable Energy / Power Electronics / EV & Energy Systems

Key Responsibilities
1. Embedded Firmware Development
  • Develop embedded firmware for inverter control including PWM generation, MPPT algorithms, and DC-DC / DC-AC control loops.
  • Implement real-time control logic for energy management and power conversion systems.
  • Develop and optimize firmware for performance, reliability, and safety.
2. MCU & Hardware Integration
  • Work with microcontrollers such as STM32, TI C2000, NXP, and ESP32.
  • Interface firmware with sensors, gate drivers, ADCs, and power stages.
  • Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate firmware with inverter control boards.
3. Communication & IoT Integration
  • Implement and maintain communication protocols such as CAN, UART, RS485, I2C, Modbus, BLE, and MQTT.
  • Support IoT and cloud integration for data logging, OTA updates, diagnostics, and analytics.
  • Ensure secure and reliable communication between inverter, peripherals, and cloud systems.
  • Validate embedded firmware on prototypes through functional, load, and stress testing.
  • Debug system-level issues related to firmware, hardware interaction, and real-time performance.
  • Support EMI/EMC-related firmware optimization to ensure system stability and compliance.
  • Work closely with power electronics, hardware, mechanical, thermal, and AI teams.
  • Support end-to-end product development from concept to production-ready designs.
  • Assist during pilot builds, field testing, and production ramp-up.
6. Documentation & Compliance
  • Prepare firmware documentation including architecture, flowcharts, and version control records.
  • Maintain coding standards, version control, and release documentation.
  • Support certification, safety, and compliance requirements when needed.
  • Optimize control algorithms for efficiency, performance, and reliability.
  • Stay updated with new MCU platforms, RTOS, and embedded design best practices.
  • Contribute to long-term product architecture and technology roadmap.
