We are looking for candidates who have a combination of embedded software development and Model-Based Design experience. The candidate should be comfortable working across the complete development cycle—from requirements and Simulink modeling to Embedded C code generation, integration, testing, and validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automotive embedded software using Embedded C.
- Develop and implement software models using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
- Apply Model-Based Design (MBD) methodologies for automotive embedded applications.
- Translate system and software requirements into Simulink models and Embedded C code.
- Perform automatic code generation using Embedded Coder / RTW and integrate generated code with target hardware.
- Develop and integrate S-Functions and Simulink Library Blocks as required.
- Perform MIL (Model-in-the-Loop) and SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) testing and validation.
- Develop and execute unit test and functional test cases using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Perform MC/DC coverage analysis and support software verification activities.
- Analyze and debug models, generated code, and embedded software issues.
- Develop and integrate automotive communication functionality using CAN, LIN, and other serial communication protocols.
- Support software integration and testing on target hardware.
- Collaborate with system, hardware, embedded software, testing, and validation teams.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with defined coding and development standards.
- Maintain source code, models, test artifacts, and software releases using Git/SVN or equivalent version-control tools.
