Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru seeks an experienced embedded firmware engineer for IoT devices. You will contribute to hands-on firmware development, work with bare metal and RTOS, and handle peripherals such as UART, I2C, SPI, and ZigBee, collaborating with hardware, cloud, and QA teams.

You should have 4-5 years of relevant experience, strong C/C++ skills, and a solid understanding of security topics (secure boot, TLS/DTLS, PKI). OTA/FOTA, reading schematics, and Git/Gerrit are essential.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years hands-on firmware development for IoT devices.
• Experience with bare metal and RTOS-based firmware in C/C++.
• Peripherals: UART, I2C, SPI, QSPI, and related interfaces.
• Experience with ZigBee and OTA/FOTA development.
• Strong debugging skills and secure boot, TLS/DTLS, PKI knowledge.
• Ability to read schematics and hardware datasheets; Git/Gerrit usage.
• Cross-functional collaboration with hardware, cloud, and QA teams.
• Understanding of full vehicle software stack from boot to cloud connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Hands on OTA/FOTA development and debugging.
• Ability to read schematics and hardware datasheets.
• Must have working knowledge on Git/Gerrit.
• Cross-functional collaboration with hardware, cloud, and QA teams.
• Understanding of the full vehicle software stack — from bootloader to cloud connectivity.

Key Responsibilities
