Cell Propulsion is seeking an experienced Electromagnetic Designer to join our engineering team in Bengaluru. You will design and optimize electromagnetic systems for advanced motor applications, conduct simulations, and collaborate across mechanical and electrical teams to deliver high-performance, reliable motor solutions.

The role requires a strong background in EM design, proficiency with ANSYS Maxwell, JMAG, or COMSOL, and a passion for developing state-of-the-art mobility technology.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electromagnetic design, preferably in motor systems.
• Proficiency with electromagnetic simulation tools (ANSYS Maxwell, JMAG, COMSOL).
• Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and its application in motor design.
• Experience in design for manufacturability and production processes.
• Knowledge of thermal management in high-performance motors.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Design and optimize electromagnetic systems for advanced motor applications (Linear).
• Conduct electromagnetic simulations and analyses to evaluate designs and propose improvements (For 3phase motor systems as well as high power DC electromagnets).
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate electromagnetic designs with overall system requirements at various levels.
• Develop and validate electromagnetic models for motor components and assemblies.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in electromagnetic design and motor technologies.
• Participate in the entire product development lifecycle from concept to production.
• Ensure designs meet or exceed performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.
• Document design work and provide technical reports and presentations.
• Support the troubleshooting and resolution of electromagnetic related issues in existing products.
