Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrochemistry Test Engineer to join our cutting-edge research and development team. In this role, you will focus on the assembly, testing, and characterization of advanced electrolyser cells and stacks.
Responsibilities:
Technical:
Assembling single-cell and multi-cell electrolyser configurations with precision.
Conducting performance testing under various operating conditions to evaluate efficiency, durability, and scalability.
Performing electrochemical characterization (e.g., polarization curves, impedance spectroscopy, gas purity analysis) tovalidatedesign improvements.
Collaborating with the design and materials teams to troubleshoot andoptimizecell architecture.
Documenting test results andprovidingactionable insights for product development and scale-up.
Analyse experimental data toidentifykey factors influencing electrocatalyst and cell performance. Use these insights to guide further development and optimisation
Documentation and Reporting
Maintainaccurateand detailed records of cell assembly procedures, test setups, operating conditions, and performance data.
Prepare clear technical reports, test summaries, and presentations to communicate findings to internal R&D teams and external stakeholders.
Analyzetest results toidentifytrends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities, supporting design optimization and scale-up.
Stay current with advancements in electrolyser testing, electrochemical characterization techniques, and related standards, contributing to continuous improvement of testing methodologies and best practices.
Required Qualification:
Proven ability to assemble single-cell and stack configurations, set up test rigs, and ensure proper sealing and electrical connections.
Skilled in performing electrochemical measurements (e.g., polarization curves, EIS, gas purity analysis) and interpreting data for performance optimization.
Familiarity with safety protocols for hydrogen systems, high-pressure operations, and handling of alkaline or AEM electrolyser components.
Experience in preparing technical documentation, test reports, and presenting findings to engineering teams.
