Job Description

Position : Electrical engineer

Roles and responsibilities

• Schematic capture and component creation using an ECAD tool, primarily Altium
• Analyze mixed analog/digital schematics for functional tolerances, power dissipation, deratings, etc.
• Circuit layout for PC board, polyimide flex, and PET silver printed circuits
• Thoroughly document PCB for fabrication per company standards
• Contribute to component library development for schematic symbols and component footprints
• Search for components and alternate components
• Strong written and verbal English skills, ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
• Regularly communicate progress to remote team members
• Design for Manufacturing
• Conform to all Company standards and procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills Required

Required

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience designing schematics and printed circuit boards
• Knowledge of factors for cost effective circuit design, including substrate materials, surface finishes, and panel array considerations
• Basic electrical circuit analysis skills

Preferred

• More than 5 years of experience designing schematics and printed circuit boards
• Experience using Altium
• Experience designing flexible circuits with polyimide and PET substrates
• Experience with designing electrodes for capacitive sensing
