Job summary

Bureau Veritas do Brasil seeks an Electrical QA/QC Engineer to perform third party QA/QC inspections on electrical projects and supervise construction activities at site.

The role includes on-site training for juniors, reporting, and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for effective progress monitoring and quality control.

Qualifications

• Graduate Engineer BE/B.Tech (Electrical) with 3 to 5 years or Diploma with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of QA/QC will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Third Party Inspection or QA/QC of Electrical Projects on a continuous basis.
• Conducting on-site training for juniors.
• Preparing progress report, field inspection report, NCs, etc based on client’s requirement.
• Follow up the above reports and close the gaps mentioned in the reports.
• Adherence to Codes and Standards (Knowledge of Codes and Standards).
• Inspection, supervision of construction activities as per client requirement.
• Review of QAP & Quality Manual.
• Supervise electrical construction and installation activities at site.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and safety compliance for electrical activities.

Job description

Purpose of Position

• The job incumbent is responsible for performing QAQC inspections, audits, supervision as per QAP, approved procedure, standards, etc., Carries out some tasks independently, with minimum supervision, and these may be on well identified or isolated assets.

Major Responsibilities

• Third Party Inspection or QA/QC of Electrical Projects on a continuous basis

HSSE -

• Responsible for compliances of all applicable statutory laws and regulations as well as Group HSSE policies and procedures etc. in relation to Health, security, safetyand environment and workmen employment.


• Responsible for establishing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing the HSSE Management System (in line with ISO14001:2015 & ISO 45001 standards) within his/ her Region/Location/Team.


• Responsible to take reasonable care on health and safety of their own, colleagues and others working surroundings.


• Responsible to report promptly to immediate superior on any abnormalities and incidents found related to Health, Security, Safety and Environment

Quality-

• To comply company Quality requirements e.g. policies, procedures, guidelines etc. and local legal requirements on Quality as applicable.


• Support to Customer Satisfaction and Operational Excellence.


• Setup smart (Specific Measurable, Achievable, Relevant & Time Bound) Quality Objectives for himself and for Team in Success factor as applicable in area of Operation.


• Responsible to report promptly to immediate superior and TIQ on any abnormalities and incidents found related to Quality.

Qualification and Experience

General:
