Job summary

Triz Engineering Solutions invites applications from an Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to the design and integration of vehicle electrical systems for medium- and heavy-duty platforms in Bangalore. You will create 3D wiring, harness designs, schematics and ensure producible, cost-effective solutions with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

The role requires a BEng/BTech in Electrical/Mechatronics, at least 3 years of electrical design experience, and familiarity with 3D CAD tools

Qualifications

• B Eng or B Tech in Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an electrical design engineering position.
• Automotive OEM design experience is advantageous.
• 3D CAD experience with Siemens NX is advantageous.
• Schematic design experience with Mentor Graphics Vesys is advantageous.
• Interest in AI-enabled tools to support electrical design activities.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate vehicle electrical systems for medium- and heavy-duty platforms.
• Develop 3D wiring and harness designs; create schematics and drawings.
• Manage engineering data and BOMs; collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Job Summary

The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for the design and integration of vehicle electrical systems for medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicle platforms. The role involves developing 3D wiring and harness designs, creating schematics and drawings, managing engineering data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver compliant, cost-effective, and production-ready electrical solutions in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities:

• Medium and Heavy duty truck chassis harness design using 3D CAD – and 2D Schematic software.
• Vehicle Electrical Systems Design, including 3D Wiring design in Siemens NX, creating 2D Harness Drawings and Schematics.
• Electrical Component Integration
• Evaluate scope of work and manage project timelines
• Prepare bills of materials and their representative 3D assemblies (Unigraphics NX)
• Product data management (entering designs and related info into PDM software – Team Center)
• Ensure designs meet supplier and regulatory requirements
• Design with cost saving, ease of installation and servicing in mind
• Conduct concept and design reviews
• Liaise with suppliers on designs
• Assess results for comparison against customer requirements and design standards
• Liaise with other engineering disciplines and teams

Qualifications

• B Eng Degree or B Tech Degree in Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience working in an electrical design engineering position – minimum 3 Years.
• Automotive OEM Design Experience will be an advantage
• 3D CAD experience: Siemens NX will be an advantage.
• Schematics Design in Mentor Graphics Vesys will be an advantage
• Working knowledge of, or demonstrated interest in, the practical application of AI-enabled tools to support electrical design engineering activities, including schematic and harness design accuracy, BOM validation, engineering documentation quality, data management within PDM systems, and compliance-related checks in an automotive environment.

Working hours:

10h00 –19h00, Monday to Friday (subject to change) with core hours and flexi-time and may require overtime as per project.
