Job summary

UST is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design engineer to design or modify electrical assemblies, layouts and drawings for challenging scopes. You will troubleshoot complex electrical issues with minimal supervision and generate engineering test reports.

You will engage with suppliers and coordinate projects to deliver robust electrical solutions. The role requires proficiency in electrical standards and CAD tools, with hands-on lab work and field issue rectification.

Qualifications

• Design electrical circuits and perform load calculations.
• Select components and verify against standards.
• Familiar with UL508A, NFPA79, NEC.
• Understand IO-based controllers and distributed IO.
• Knowledge of EtherCAT, Modbus RS485, Modbus TCP/IP.
• Proficient CAD: AutoDesk Inventor, UG-NX.

Responsibilities

• Design or modify electrical/electronic assemblies, layouts/schematics, and detailed drawings/specifications of complex scope.
• Troubleshoot a variety of electrical problems with limited supervision.
• Define, coordinate, perform, and generate engineering test reports with limited supervision.
• Perform engineering analysis of difficult scope with limited supervision.
• Lead engineering projects, including interaction with key suppliers.
• Install and power up tools in the lab and debug field issues.

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Design

Key Responsibilities

• Design or modify electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of difficult scope
• Problem identification and troubleshooting a variety of complex electrical problems with limited supervision
• Define, coordinate, perform and generate engineering test reports with limited supervision
• Perform engineering analysis of difficult scope with limited supervision
• Executing engineering projects, including interaction of key suppliers
• Install, power up of tools in lab and debug & rectify variety of field issues
• Generate electrical product specifications
• Specify and review engineering documentation

• Understanding of IO based Controllers, Distributed IO etc.

• CAD software Auto-Desk-Inventor, UG-NX etc.
