A multinational health technology company is seeking an experienced Electrical Architect - Connectivity to design and optimize wireless communication electronics in medical devices. The role involves leading engineering deliverables, ensuring regulatory compliance, and working closely with teams to enhance performance of medical equipment. This office-based position requires in-person work at least three days per week.
Electrical Architect - Connectivity
In this role, you have the opportunity to contribute to wireless communication electronics design within the medical domain and bring specialized expertise in medical device electronics engineering.
Design, develop, test, and optimize electronics hardware components and systems for wireless communication, focusing on performance, signal integrity, and regulatory compliance.
Develop architecture, select components, perform simulations and tests, troubleshoot issues, analyze performance data, and create technical documentation to ensure reliable data transmission.
Work with a Design for Excellence (DfX) mindset to plan and execute Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Testability (DfT), and Design for Serviceability (DfS).
Lead wireless electronics engineering deliverables, including defining strategy and planning, design analysis, creating or revising DHFs, and reviewing and releasing DHFs.
Document designs in compliance with Quality Management System requirements.
Review, mentor, and approve design documentation including requirements specification, design documents, engineering analysis, schematic capture, test plans, test procedures, and test records.
Design and develop new circuitry to replace aging or obsolete parts.
Develop new platforms, integrate new technology, simplify designs, and improve reliability to enhance the performance of respiratory care medical equipment.
Support the assurance of supply by resolving component obsolescence issues.
Drive quality and performance by identifying opportunities for improvement from field, supplier, and manufacturing data.
Support the manufacturing engineering team in troubleshooting and resolving issues discovered during production.
