Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Elastic Search Engineer with 5.5 to 8 years of hands-on Elasticsearch experience to design and optimize search solutions. Immediate to 30 days notice, based in India. The role requires strong query tuning, data processing for large volumes, and familiarity with XML and AWS.

Experience with Elasticsearch admin configurations is essential, and Python skills are a plus. Prior exposure to AWS OpenSearch is advantageous for client-facing projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Elasticsearch experience with strong query tuning skills.
• Familiar with aggregation, reindexing and processing large document volumes.
• Knowledge of XML and AWS fundamentals required.
• Experience in Elasticsearch admin configurations.
• Python experience is a plus.
• Previous exposure to AWS OpenSearch is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on work with Elasticsearch to deliver accurate search results and performance.
• Write and optimize large queries for speed and relevance.
• Manage aggregation, reindexing and processing of large data volumes.
• Apply XML and AWS knowledge to integration tasks.
• Configure Elasticsearch admin settings and monitor health.
• Assist clients directly and communicate progress clearly.

Role & responsibilities

• Atleast 5.5+ years of hands-on experience in Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge in writing larger queries and finetuning them for accurate search results and performance.
• Knowledge in Aggregation, Reindexing and handling huge volumes of document processing.
• Must have Basic XML & AWS knowledge.
• Must have experience in Elasticsearch Admin configurations.
• Experience in Python is an added advantage.
• Previous experience in AWS OpenSearch is a plus.
• Excellent communication is required and previous experience in working directly with Clients.
