Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Chennai is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead all Environment, Health & Safety programs for a large corporate workplace. You will drive a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risks, and promote sustainability across the site for employees, contractors, and visitors.

The role requires 8–12+ years in EHS, ISO NEBOSH qualifications, and a proven track record in implementing safety programs with strong stakeholder management and leadership

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in EHS within corporate real estate, facilities management, or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and environmental compliance.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, and contractor safety management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory, regulatory, and client-specific EHS requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
• Drive incident prevention, investigation, corrective actions, and root cause analysis.
• Develop and implement emergency preparedness and business continuity plans.
• Manage contractor safety programs and ensure compliance with safe work practices.
• Conduct EHS training, awareness programs, and safety campaigns.
• Monitor environmental performance, waste management, energy conservation, and sustainability initiatives.
• Prepare EHS reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for internal and client reviews.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What this Job Involves

Mandatory Qualifications

• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related discipline.
• NEBOSH IGC / NEBOSH Diploma preferred.
• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety will be an added advantage.
• Professional EHS certifications and memberships preferred.
