Join our team of Strategy & Transactions professionals to help guide Deloitte client service teams through some of the critical moments and transformational initiatives. From strategy to execution, this team helps deliver integrated support covering valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, strategy, business design and transformation, infrastructure and real estate, M&A, and sustainability. Work alongside teams every step of the way, helping them navigate new challenges, avoid financial pitfalls, and support in providing practical insights at certain stages of their journey—before, during, and after any major transformational projects or transactions.

Position Summary

Level: Senior or equivalent

As a Senior at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for reviewing the valuation analysis/ models assisting client with their transactions. You will build, review, and validate quantitative models, interpret outputs, and draft client-ready deliverables. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to translate functional requirements into effective deliverables, independently guiding and mentoring junior team members. Your role spans the full project lifecycle, including estimation, planning, execution, and tracking key metrics for analysis, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of solutions.

The team:

Our Valuation & Modelling team provides a focused set of valuation consulting services to clients across industry segments including energy, technology, life sciences, energy, healthcare, consumer, financial services, and private equity. We perform valuations of business entities, intellectual property, intangible assets, common and preferred stock, and other securities along with partnership interests. Services support clients across M&A transactions, purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment testing, share-based compensation, tax planning, and litigation support. These services are provided to assist clients with dispositions; taxation planning and compliance; financial reporting in accordance with ‘US GAAP’ or ‘IFRS’ accounting standards; and strategic planning.

Work you’ll do / Key Responsibilities:

The key job responsibilities will be to:

• Assist US project teams by delivering consulting services related to financial and business modeling as well as financial advisory
• Lead engagement teams, help executing Business Modelling services which support key decision makers in developing and implementing their transactions, financing or operational decisions
• Have knowledge of financial models and be able to create financial models based on business issues or transactions being analyzed and get the team to deliver high-quality work products
• Perform detailed reviews of financial models, arrive at preliminary conclusions and present the findings in a report
• Manage engagements for modeling transactions (mergers and acquisitions), financial feasibility of projects, corporate and debt restructuring, valuation and corporate strategy
• Interact with internal and external clients and communicate with senior managers, partners/principals, and directors (PPDs) in the United States
• Lead internal initiatives and practice management engagements
• Effectively manage risk associated with engagements
• Successfully manage a team, including resolving issues and starting to team across regions
• Provide guidance to teams, especially in cases where troubleshooting is required. Train the team in new methods and processes
• Assist internal clients on client development and practice development assignments
• Build client base with US senior managers and PPD’s internal and external relationships
• Assume responsibility for the quality control and accuracy of client deliverables by supervising the work of staff and seniors
• Use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

• MBA Finance
• 4 -8 years of relevant Financial Modeling & Valuation experience
• 3+ years of direct experience in Financial Modeling and Valuation or experience in Corporate Finance role in an organization, preferably in debt raising activities in a finance environment project

Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

• CFA Level II cleared or appeared
• Preferable exposure to VBA
• Preferable exposure to Power BI
