We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Editorial Board Resourcing Associate to join our team. Editorial Board Resourcing Associates support journal growth by working to identify and recruit high quality researchers for their editorial boards; this entails close collaboration with journal publishing colleagues, Editors-in-Chiefs (EiCs), and technology partners. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining relationships with authors, reviewers, and the broader academic community.
Data management and analysis. Responsibilities include:
Supporting journal EiCs and journal publishing colleagues in EBM recruitment by using data analytics and quantitative skills to assess journal recruitment needs and develop specific recommendations for how recruitment may best contribute to journal development.
Using pre-defined criteria, develop datasets based on the scope of the journal and related field to support the identification of candidates for editorial board recruitment.
Screen and vet editorial board candidates to ensure that they are relevant to a target journal and that there are no concerns relating to ethics or misconduct.
Use project management skills to drive results across a portfolio of journals.
Customer engagement. Responsibilities include:
Engage and build trust with external Editors-in-Chief and internal publisher teams with the recruitment process, ensuring that goals and processes are clearly communicated to all parties.
Balancing stakeholder needs; works with EiCs to ensure that suitable candidates are invited to join journals in a timely manner and that EiCs are provided with feedback on progress.
Uses interpersonal awareness skills to ensure that there is successful collaboration with stakeholders across the company.
Process improvement. Responsibilities include:
Tech Savvy: Support analytics and data teams to provide feedback and suggestions to support scalable tools and systems for external editor identification.
Working with the external editor support team to support a normalized onboarding experience for new EBMs by providing feedback on processes.
Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in the Editor recruitment team.
Use process optimisation skills to propose ways of improving (or building upon) existing processes and identifying new ways of supporting editorial board recruitment at scale in a way that aligns with publishing workflows and systems.
