Job summary

CACTUS Communications is seeking an Editor to combine language skills with subject-area expertise to help researchers publish cutting-edge work in prestigious journals. This role offers telecommuting from anywhere and flexible hours, with a predictable monthly volume of articles to edit.

You will edit manuscripts to ensure standard scientific English, conform to journal guidelines, and respect subject-specific conventions.

Qualifications

• PhD degree in the required subject area.
• Excellent English proficiency and attention to detail (prior editing experience would be great)

Responsibilities

• Edit manuscripts such that the final text is in standard scientific English and is free of unclear or unidiomatic sentences.
• Adhere to job-specific guidelines and format manuscripts according to the target journal when required
