Job summary

Impetus is seeking a seasoned .NET developer to design and build independently deployable microservices using .NET Core 6/8. You will work with ASP.NET Core, middleware, DI, and hosted services to deliver scalable APIs.

You will mentor junior developers, perform technical reviews, and contribute to solution design. Strong SQL skills, testing with xUnit/NUnit, and expertise in logging (Serilog/NLog) and authentication (JWT, OAuth2) are essential.

Job description

• Design and build independently deployable microservices using .NET Core 6/8
• Deep hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core, middleware, DI, hosted services
• Strong proficiency in C# — Entity framework, async/await, generics, records, pattern matching
• Experience with performance tuning, logging optimization, and runtime configuration
• Ability to analyse requirements and contribute to solution design and implementation decisions
• Good working knowledge of SQL, including complex queries
• Experience mentoring junior developers and participating in technical reviews
• Writing and maintaining unit and integration tests using xUnit / NUnit
• Global exception handling, structured logging with Serilog / NLog / Microsoft.Extensions.Logging
• JWT authentication, OAuth2, API key strategies, HTTPS enforcement, CORS policies
• Participate in technical reviews and guide junior developers

Good to Have:

• Understanding of Azure basic services, Azure RDBMS and Azure Service Bus.
• Building SPA front-end applications that consume .NET Web APIs
• Designing lightweight, high-performance endpoints using .NET 6/8 Minimal API pattern
• Command/Query Responsibility Segregation using MediatR for clean separation of reads and writes
• Experience in working with AI/ML and voice agent integration.
