Job summary

EY Bengaluru seeks a Senior Technology Consultant to design and build backend services using .NET/.NET Core and contribute to front-end work with React/Angular. You will collaborate across PMO, Product, and Operations to deliver scalable, secure enterprise solutions.

The role requires 4–8+ years in .NET development, strong API, SOA/microservices experience, and mentoring teammates in a fast-paced global delivery setting.

Qualifications

• 4-8+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, code structure, CI/CD, and deployment best practices.
• 4-8+ years of experience in .NET / .NET Core development including C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework / EF Core.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with PMO, Development, Product Management, Business and Technical Operations, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, Networks, and Architecture teams.
• Design and develop middle-layer services and backend components using .NET / .NET Core, and contribute to React/Angular-based front-end applications.
• Perform new development, maintenance fixes, and enhancements to meet evolving business requirements.
• Draft and review architectural diagrams, technical specifications, business requirements, and various design documents.
• Work with our existing technology stack (.NET, C#, Windows/Linux environments, Microservices, Cloud, and SOA) and new technologies for next-generation enterprise solutions.
• Document technical requirements, solution designs, problem resolutions, project task descriptions, effort estimates, and unit/integration tests.
• Acquire understanding of financial products, services, processes, and organizational structure to deliver optimal technical solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends, compliance considerations, risk controls, and the regulatory landscape.
• Mentor and guide other software developers in the team.

Global Delivery Services refers to EYs worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY s growth agenda.

The Opportunity

Your Key Responsibilities

Skills and attributes for success

• 4-8+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, code structure, CI/CD, and deployment best practices.
• 4-8+ years of experience in .NET / .NET Core development including C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework / EF Core.
• Experience in system design, architecture, and contributing to scalable solution designs.
• 4-8+ years of experience in server-side technologies such as ASP.NET MVC, Web API, WCF (if applicable), and middleware components.
• Experience working with build and dependency tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, NuGet, or MSBuild.
• 4-8+ years of expertise in APIs/Web Services development using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML.
• Proficient with at least one relational database (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc).
• Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices patterns.
• Strong knowledge of OOP principles and modern design patterns (SOLID, Clean Architecture, DDD preferred).
• Good understanding of API design principles ensuring extensibility, reusability, and portability.

DESIRED SKILLS

• Knowledgeable in Financial Markets, Banking, or Wealth Management.
• Familiar with related non-development fields (Product, UX, Business Analytics, Information Mapping, etc.)
• Experience with JavaScript, AJAX and related frameworks (REACT and/or Angular 10+)
