Job summary

Vouchagram India is looking for a skilled .NET Core Developer to build backend services using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core and Web APIs. You will also work with Node.js-based services when needed.

You will design secure RESTful APIs with EF Core and SQL Server, collaborate with frontend, QA, and product teams, and participate in deployments, CI/CD, and production support. This role requires strong problem-solving and a commitment to best practices.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C# and .NET Core / ASP.NET Core development.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating services.
• Strong SQL Server knowledge and EF Core experience.
• Familiarity with Git and Agile SDLC.
• Node.js familiarity for integration work.
• Understanding of security/auth (JWT/OAuth) is a plus.

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled .NET Core Developer with strong experience in designing and developing backend applications using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and Web APIs. The candidate should also have a good understanding of Node.js and be comfortable working with or integrating Node.js-based services when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable backend applications using C# and .NET Core / ASP.NET Core.
• Design and develop secure and high-performance RESTful APIs and Web APIs.
• Work with Entity Framework Core and relational databases such as SQL Server.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, performance problems, and production defects.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding and development best practices.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders.
• Work with existing Node.js services/APIs and support integration or troubleshooting when required.
• Understand Node.js application structure and be able to make minor enhancements or fixes where necessary.
• Participate in deployment, CI/CD, and production support activities.
• Contribute to application architecture and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

Must Have

• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core / ASP.NET Core.
• Strong knowledge of ASP.NET Core Web API.
• Good understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Strong experience with REST APIs and API integration.
• Good knowledge of Entity Framework Core.
• Strong SQL knowledge, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with Git and source control.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

Node.js Knowledge

• Good understanding of Node.js fundamentals and architecture.
• Familiarity with Express.js or similar Node.js frameworks.
• Ability to understand, consume, troubleshoot, and integrate Node.js APIs/services.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Ability to make minor enhancements or fixes in Node.js applications is an advantage.

Good to Have

• Experience with Azure/AWS.
• Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging technologies.
• Familiarity with React, Angular, or other frontend technologies.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit/NUnit.
• Understanding of application security and authentication mechanisms such as JWT/OAuth 2.0.
