Job summary

NC Medical College & Hospital in Panipat seeks a capable respiratory medicine professional to lead clinical care across OPD, IPD and emergency services, including ICU duties and essential procedures.

The role also includes teaching MBBS/MD students, conducting seminars and coordinating with Radiology, CTVS and Medicine for MDTs, along with departmental administration and TB/NCD programs.

Preferred candidates have at least 1 year of experience in a medical college or hospital.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a medical college or hospital.

Responsibilities

  • OPD/IPD/Emergency: Manage patients with TB, Asthma, COPD, ILD, Pneumonia, Lung Cancer, Sleep disorders, and other respiratory illnesses
  • Critical Care: Manage ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, NIV/BiPAP in ICU/HDU/Respiratory ICU
  • Procedures: Bronchoscopy, Pleural tap, Chest tube insertion, PFT, Sleep study, Nebulization
  • NTEP/RNTCP: Coordinate with District TB Officer, ensure TB notification, DOTS supervision, and MDR-TB management
  • Ward Rounds: Daily rounds, case discussions, and maintain patient records, discharge summaries
  • UG Teaching: Take lectures, bedside clinics, practicals, tutorials for MBBS students as per CBME curriculum
  • PG Teaching: Seminars, journal clubs, case presentations, and guide MD Pulmonary Medicine / MD General Medicine thesis
  • Skill Training: Demonstrate PFT, Oxygen therapy, Nebulization, Chest physiotherapy to UG/PG students
  • Exams: Conduct internal assessments, OSCE, practical and viva exams as per NMCCME/Conferences: Organize and participate in CMEs, workshops on Asthma, TB, COPD
  • NMC Compliance: Maintain faculty attendance, teaching hours, logbooks, and inspection documentation
  • Department Management: Duty rosters, equipment maintenance - PFT, Bronchoscope, Ventilators
  • Committees: Member of Hospital Infection Control, Biomedical Waste, NABH, Antibiotic Stewardship committees
  • Awareness Programs: Organize World TB Day, World Asthma Day, and community screening camps
  • Research & Publications: Guide research, publish papers in indexed journals
  • Disaster management and COVID/other respiratory outbreak preparedness
  • Mentor UG/PG students academically and professionally
