Orchids The International School is seeking passionate DIY Teachers to inspire and educate students through hands-on activities in Art & Craft and Technical subjects. You will deliver high-quality instruction, create engaging lesson plans, and foster a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities include differentiating instruction, evaluating student progress, and participating in workshops and events coordinated by the central team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Art Education, or related field.
• Diploma/Degree in Engineering (for Technical Teachers) preferred.
• Degree/Diploma in ATD/BFA/Art & Craft (for Art Teachers) preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

In this role, you will play a vital part in inspiring and educating students through engaging hands-on activities in Art & Craft and/or Technical subjects. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, creating engaging lesson plans, and fostering a safe and supportive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Prepare and conduct a variety of instructional activities, including demonstrations, discussions, and independent practice.
• Differentiate instruction to cater to diverse learning styles and needs of students.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Conduct and participate in workshops, exhibitions, and other events as directed by the central team.
• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and development.
• Participate in professional development activities and workshops to enhance teaching skills.
• Attend all mandatory training sessions scheduled by the central team. For Technical Teachers: Be willing to learn and assist with the basic maintenance of woodworking machines, hand tools, and electric circuitry.
• Supervise students during hands-on activities and provide guidance as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Art Education, or a related field.
• Preferred: Diploma/Degree in Engineering (for Technical Teachers)
• Preferred: Degree/Diploma in ATD/BFA/Art & Craft (for Art Teachers)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Passion for teaching and a strong desire to inspire students.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Openness to learning new techniques and exploring innovative teaching methods. .
