Job summary

Elanco invites applications for the District Sales Manager role in India. You will lead and develop a team of Area Business Managers and Executives to achieve quarterly sales budgets and regional growth.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent), have 7+ years in sales management or animal health, and possess techno-marketing and people management skills. Travel ~50% is required.

Your Role

District Sales Manager

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Area Business Managers and Executives to achieve quarterly sales budgets and business objectives.
• Implement marketing plans and key cycle activities effectively to ensure all brands contribute to regional growth.
• Manage comprehensive product mixes and efficient stock levels to meet animal health business goals.
• Maintain strong relationships with veterinarians, key accounts, and retailers while providing value-added services.
• Control regional expense budgets and provide strategic market inputs to the marketing department.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications)

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine, or equivalent.
• Experience: Min 7 years of experience in sales management or animal health.
• Key skills: Techno-marketing proficiency and people management for performance development.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

• Proven track record in achieving sales growth across diverse product portfolios.
• Experience in stock management and expense budget control.
• Strong collaborative skills for working across Marketing, Finance, and EEM functions.
