Job summary

BNY is seeking a Director of Public Website Engineering in Pune, India, to lead the Engineering Practice for the Marketing Hub. The role focuses on scalable, auditable public website platforms built in an Adobe ecosystem, with an AI-first approach and strong leadership responsibilities.

You will lead agile teams, collaborate with stakeholders across Marketing, Lines of Business, and Technology, and ensure delivery aligns with enterprise governance, controls, and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience with enterprise-level Adobe products including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and AEM Cloud.
• Hands-on full stack development experience using modern languages and concepts.
• Familiarity with agile practices and a track record of leading high-performing teams.
• Operate as a senior engineering leader within the Engineering Practice, contributing to standards and delivery discipline.
• Work within the Marketing Hub to align delivery with priorities, regulatory expectations, and risk objectives.
• Lead small, high-performing agile teams using iterative delivery and measurable outcomes.
• Partner with product, data, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to shape roadmaps.

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Public Website Engineering to join our Marketing Engineering team. This role is located in Pune, India.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• The Director-level position will lead Engineering execution of our public website strategy to develop modern, information rich sites presented for public consumption.
• This position will be a member of the Engineering Practice and aligned to the Marketing Hub. This role is responsible for engineering strategy, architecture, technical implementation and delivery across our public website estate in an Adobe ecosystem.
• This position will have a focus on scalable platforms, strong controls, agile execution, and an AI-first approach to engineering outcomes.
• Lead agile engineering teams focused on scalable and well-controlled public site implementations.
• This position will have both technical responsibilities and team leadership responsibilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Marketing, Lines of Business and Technology teams to define priorities and deliver outcomes.
• Ensure engineering solutions are resilient, auditable, and aligned to enterprise architecture, control, and data standards.
• Support delivery through strong technical leadership, disciplined execution, and stakeholder partnership.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with enterprise level Adobe products including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) including Adobe AEM Cloud.
• Hands-on full stack development experience using modern languages and concepts.
• Familiarity with agile practices and a track record of leading high-performing teams
• Operate as a senior engineering leader within the Engineering Practice, contributing to engineering standards, talent development, and platform-wide execution discipline.
• Work within the Marketing Hub to align delivery with hub priorities, regulatory expectations, and enterprise risk and control objectives.
• Lead small, high-performing agile teams using iterative delivery practices, transparent prioritization, and measurable outcomes.
• Partner closely with product, data, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to shape roadmaps and deliver resilient solutions.
• Promote an AI-first mindset by identifying opportunities to improve engineering productivity, automation, controls, and decision support.
• Create clarity on priorities, architecture direction, and execution outcomes for the team and stakeholders.
• Build strong engineering culture through coaching, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Balance innovation with sound engineering practices, operational resilience, and risk management.
• Represent the domain effectively across hub, practice, and enterprise governance forums.
• Drive delivery against strategic objectives while maintaining high standards for quality, performance, and control.
