Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead Manage team in Bangalore, India fostering collaboration, accountability, ownership, inclusion, continuous learning, knowledge sharing and engineering excellence. Collaborate with product, program and IB team to align engineering efforts with customer and business objectives. Define and Execute Execute engineering programs and strategies enabling AI assisted development, automation, verification to accelerate delivery, improve software quality, and increase engineering productivity. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with product management, program management, quality, regulatory and technology leaders to translate customer needs and feedback into prioritizing engineering outcomes, manage prioritizes and execution. Work with different GE healthcare businesses at JFWTC and look for opportunities and drive collaboration/reuse between businesses. Influence Influence product roadmaps, technical strategy, architecture decisions, and investment priorities by balancing customer value, business objectives, technical sustainability, and engineering excellence. Leadership & Talent Development Build and develop engineering leadership and technical talent through hiring, mentoring, and development of engineering managers and technical leaders, while establishing an effective global operating model and consistent engineering standards across regions. Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and collaboration across all levels of the organization, encouraging innovation and continuous learning. Ensure Ensure software solutions meet GE HealthCare expectations for customer satisfaction, efficiency, simplicity, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, privacy, and operational excellence. Communicated Technology strategy, execution progress, risks, opportunities, recommendations, and business outcomes effectively with executive leadership, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math); MBA or equivalent business experience is plus.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Minimum 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership/management roles, preferably in healthcare, medical devices, or high-growth tech environments handling complex programs or projects. Experience translating customer feedback into actionable engineering solutions that improve usability, performance, and satisfaction. Be an active participant of team and look for optimizing engineering practices and improvement opportunities. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work harmoniously within a team. Strong software development experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C++ or similar technologies. Deep understanding of software engineering principles, including object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, API design, service-oriented architectures, and modern software development practices. Experience leading engineering teams responsible for complex software products from architecture and design through production deployment and operational support. Ability to provide technical guidance, evaluate architecture decisions, and drive engineering excellence across teams. Strong understanding of ultrasound technologies, healthcare workflows, and regulatory environments is highly desirable. Excellent communication, presentation, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.

Desired Characteristics:

Significant experience leading software engineering organizations, including hiring, developing, mentoring, and retaining engineering managers and technical leaders. Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple regions and time zones. Demonstrated ability to work with technical leadership team to implement product development in global matrix environment Demonstrated experience on global product releases throughout the entire NPI cycle Excellent knowledge in engineering, program management and business planning processes having experience with the full product lifecycle. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation Experience in mobility platforms like Android, iOS & other mobility related platforms Experience working in Cloud related applications like AWS, Azure etc., would be an added advantage Demonstrated experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) regulatory compliance process, design history file and related documentation Familiarity with ISO, FDA and other regulatory standards like IEC 60601, CISPER 11 etc. Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying, facilitating, and driving completion of a product/program Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to successfully work within and influence cross functional team members Demonstrated ability to deliver results in an ambiguous environment. Experience in utilizing lean and six-sigma methodologies.
