We areseeking a Director of Accounting – Finance Controller to lead the North America controllership function. This role oversees the full accounting lifecycle, from reconciliations through reporting, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to U.S. GAAP.

The role is a key member of the accounting leadership team and requires a hands‑on, collaborative leader with strong technical accounting expertise, financial acumen, and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead controllership activities across North America, including financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, treasury, and cash management.
  • Oversee global close and consolidation processes, including preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reporting.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation for annual financial and statutory audits.
  • Provide proactive, cross‑functional support with a strong internal customer service mindset.
  • Drive ERP transformations and accounting systems initiatives.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish best practices across accounting operations, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting teams, promoting accountability and high performance.
  • Support ad hoc accounting and finance initiatives as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience across accounting and finance, with exposure to both public accounting and industry roles.
  • Strong technical accounting foundation with deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
  • Proven success in fast‑paced, dynamic, and collaborative environments.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
