Job summary

PriceWaterhouseCoopers Pvt Ltd (PwC) India seeks Senior Associate / Associate for Energy Utilities & Resources (Government Transformation) in Bhubaneswar. You will work with the power sector team on strategy & operations, regulatory improvement, and data-driven client deliverables. Expect collaboration with stakeholders and travel across India as needed. B.E./B.Tech and MBA required; 6–8 years (Senior Associate) or 3–5 years (Associate).

Qualifications

Senior Associate / Associate – Energy Utilities & Resources (Government Transformation) Team - PwC India

The team operates at the forefront of business strategy and technological innovation in the power sector utilities. We focus on driving efficiency through process optimization, digital automation, policy advocacy, and other targeted interventions. Further, the team actively collaborates with stakeholders to establish robust frameworks to facilitate seamless adoption of transformative technologies.

Responsibilities
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—both internal and client-facing—across the business and power sector value chain, supporting the development and implementation of operational strategies within the power sector.
  • You will be working on domestic and international engagements focused on strategy & operations related engagements with power utilities (e.g., transmission, system operators, distribution utilities, etc.). Understanding operating model redesigning, business process re-engineering and power utility operations is essential.
  • Exposure data gathering techniques and analysis, and reporting insights in a clear and effective way is desirable (business planning).
  • Prepare quality reports, presentations, and other client deliveries.
  • Engage and collaborate with business managers, technology experts, and client officials.
  • Operate effectively both as a contributing member of project delivery teams and independently when required.
Key Skills Required
  • Knowledge of Indian power market structures and regulations, with the ability to develop practical operational strategies aligned with regulatory mandates.
  • Understanding RE grid integration challenges, with knowledge in assessing operational impacts and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Exposure to emerging market mechanisms, including ancillary services, flexibility products, green energy trading, and market-based balancing solutions.
  • Good Understanding of the roles, responsibilities and functioning / operations of SLDC/RLDC/NLDC.
Location and Experience
  • Senior Associate - Delhi NCR/Jaipur || 6-8 years of relevant experience
  • Associate - Delhi NCR/Jaipur || 3-5 years of relevant experience

Note: Candidates should be willing to travel widely across India and abroad and stay at client locations for extended periods based on project requirements.

Qualification

B.E./B.Tech. and MBA/PGDM Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, expertise in data visualization and storytelling, strong presentation skills, and fluent English communication are essential.
