Job summary

Happiest Minds Technologies seeks an experienced Senior Data Architect with 15+ years to design enterprise-scale Data Lake/Lakehouse architectures and modern ETL/ELT pipelines. The role emphasizes hands-on cloud-native analytics platforms leveraging Azure Databricks and Google BigQuery.

You will define standards, lead modernization, mentor teams, and ensure security, governance, and compliance across data platforms to enable analytics, AI/ML, and BI initiatives.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Enterprise Data Architecture, Data Engineering, and Cloud Data Platforms.
• Proven expertise in Data Lake/Lakehouse solutions using Azure Databricks and Google BigQuery.
• Extensive experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines using Spark, PySpark, and Azure Data Factory.
• Hands-on with Data Products and governed Data APIs using Databricks, Delta Sharing, SQL Warehouses, or REST APIs.
• Expertise in data modelling (Kimball, Data Vault, dimensional, Lakehouse) for analytical platforms.
• Experience designing BI architectures with Power BI and governed datasets.
• Understanding Medallion Architecture, Data Mesh, Lambda/Kappa, CDC, event-driven pipelines.
• Strong data governance, metadata, lineage, quality, and security using Unity Catalog, Purview, Dataplex.

Data Architect (Data lake, BI, Databricks and BigQuery) with 15+ years of experience :
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect with 15+ years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale Data Lake/Lakehouse architectures, modern ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud-native analytics platforms.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure Databricks, Google BigQuery, Data Products, Data APIs, enterprise Data Modelling, Business Intelligence, and Data Governance. The role requires strong architectural leadership with hands-on experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms that enable analytics, AI/ML, and business intelligence.
The successful candidate will define enterprise data architecture standards, lead modernization initiatives, mentor engineering teams, and ensure data platforms adhere to security, governance, and compliance requirements.
The Ideal Candidate Should Demonstrate Experience In

• 15+ years of experience in Enterprise Data Architecture, Data Engineering, and Cloud Data Platforms.
• Proven expertise in designing Data Lake/Lakehouse solutions using Azure Databricks and Google BigQuery.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines using Spark, PySpark, Azure Data Factory, and cloud-native orchestration tools.
• Strong hands-on experience with Data Products and exposing governed Data APIs using Databricks, Delta Sharing, SQL Warehouses, or REST APIs.
• Expertise in data modelling for analytical platforms, including Kimball, Data Vault, dimensional modelling, and Lakehouse data models.
• Experience designing Business Intelligence architectures using Power BI or equivalent platforms, including semantic models and governed datasets.
• Deep understanding of modern data architecture patterns such as Medallion Architecture, Data Mesh, Lambda/Kappa, CDC, and event-driven pipelines.
• Strong implementation experience in Data Governance, metadata management, lineage, quality, and security using Unity Catalog, Purview, Dataplex, or similar platforms
• Excellent stakeholder management, technical leadership, and experience mentoring engineering teams in enterprise-scale transformation programs.
