Job summary

Manipal Hospitals is seeking a tax professional to join the Finance team at its Bengaluru facility. The role focuses on direct taxation, with responsibilities spanning TDS, income tax returns, audits, and assessments, alongside coordination with internal teams and external consultants.

Based in Old Airport Road, Bangalore, the candidate will support tax compliance, bookkeeping of tax transactions, and process improvements at a centralized level.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in Direct taxation.
• Strong MS Excel & PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Timely preparation and filing of TDS returns.
• Assist in timely filing of income tax returns and audits under income tax laws.
• Assist in income tax assessments, notices, appeals including visiting to tax offices.
• Responsible for bookkeeping of tax-related transactions and reconciliations between books and returns.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders regarding income tax audits, returns and related matters.
• Interact with consultants on various tax compliance activities.
• Interact with hospital unit finance teams to ensure compliance with Income Tax Law.
• Assist in knowledge sharing to Finance teams of hospital units and implement centralized processes for Income Tax compliance.
• Handle other routine income tax activities.

What You’ll Do:

• Timely preparation and filing of TDS returns
• Assisting in timely filing of income tax returns and audits under income tax laws
• Assisting in Income tax assessments, Notices, appeals including visiting to tax offices.
• Responsible for ensuring bookkeeping of tax related transactions and various reconciliations between books and returns.
• Coordinating with various internal stakeholder with respect to Income tax audit, returns, and related matters
• Interaction with consultants on various tax compliance activities
• Interaction with finance teams of hospital units to ensure compliance to the Income Tax Law.
• Assisting in Knowledge sharing to Finance teams of hospital Units.Assisting in implementation of various process at the centralized level to ensure efficiencies in the Income Tax Compliance
• Other routine activities related to income tax
