Job summary

Tata Advanced Systems is seeking a Digital Transformation & Innovation Lead for our Corporate IT team in Mumbai. The role focuses on steering enterprise-wide digitisation, IT/OT convergence, data-driven decision making, and value realisation while ensuring governance, security, and regulatory compliance.

You will drive end-to-end transformation across functions, govern adoption of AI/ML, RPA, IoT and cloud platforms, and act as a strategic IT partner to business leaders.

Qualifications

• 15–18+ years of IT experience with digital transformation in large enterprises.
• Hands-on experience with ERP ecosystems (SAP S/4HANA preferred), analytics dashboards, automation and integration platforms (RPA, AI/ML, Digital Twin).
• Prior manufacturing/engineering/infrastructure/PSU sector exposure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end digital transformation roadmap across functions and partner with plant-IT (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Quality, Engineering).
• Identify opportunities for process reengineering through digital technologies (ERP optimisation, workflow automation, analytics).
• Establish and drive an enterprise innovation framework (use-case discovery, PoCs, pilots, scalable pilots).
• Govern adoption of emerging technologies such as AI/ML, RPA, IoT, Cloud, and Platform Modernisation, ensuring governance and security.

We are looking for a Digital Transformation & Innovation Lead for our Corporate IT team. Reporting To: Chief Information Officer (CIO) Location: Corporate Office / Mumbai

Role Purpose

The Digital Transformation & Innovation Lead is responsible for conceptualising, driving, and institutionalising enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives aligned with business and divisional strategy. The role focuses on process digitisation, technology innovation, ITOT convergence, datadriven decision making, and value realisation, while ensuring governance, security, and regulatory compliance at group level.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute endtoend digital transformation roadmap across business functions and coordinate with plant-IT (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Quality, Engineering).
• Identify opportunities for process reengineering through digital technologies (ERP optimisation, workflow automation, analytics, AI/ML, lowcode platforms).
• Establish and drive an enterprise innovation framework (usecase discovery, PoCs, pilots, scaleup in coordination with divisional heads).
• Evaluate and govern adoption of emerging technologies such as: AI / ML & Advanced Analytics, RPA / Intelligent Automation, IoT / Industry 4.0, Digital Thread / Digital Twin, Cloud & Platform Modernisation.
• Act as a strategic IT partner to business leaders and divisional heads.
• Translate business challenges into clear digital solution blueprints.
• Align transformation initiatives with enterprise architecture, data strategy, and integration standards.
• Ensure all digital initiatives comply with: Cybersecurity & Information Security policies (ISO 27001, CERTIn), Data privacy and data residency requirements, Internal audit, ITGC, and regulatory guidelines.
• Define and track clear KPIs, benefits, and ROI for each transformation initiative.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Engineering / Computer Science / MCA / MBA (Systems / Operations preferred).
• 1518+ years of IT experience, with strong exposure to digital transformation programs in large enterprises.
• Handson experience with: ERP ecosystems (SAP S/4HANA preferred), Analytics & dashboards, Automation and integration platforms like RPA, AI/ML, Digital Twin, Mobility.
• Prior experience in manufacturing / engineering / infrastructure / PSU environments preferred.
