Job summary

Jobtailor in Mumbai seeks a senior software engineer to design and deliver scalable backend/frontend solutions using TypeScript and Node.js, deployed on Azure or AWS.

You will guide a 2–3 person team, collaborate with architects and product managers, and ensure code quality, performance and reliable releases in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Computer Science or STEM.
• 7+ years of hands-on backend/frontend development in Web/Cloud application.
• Experience implementing an application on Azure/AWS using microservices and docker.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Proficiency in MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with session management, caching, algorithms and data structures, secure coding.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, jQuery, web servers and RESTful web services.
• Hands-on experience with AMQP/MQTT and message brokers such as RabbitMQ/Kafka.
• Ability to learn new languages/technologies as needed.
• Deep understanding of architecture, performance, scalability, reliability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on backend/frontend development in Web/Cloud application
• Prior experience implementing an application on Azure/AWS using microservices architecture and docker/containerization
• Proficiency in back-end development using TypeScript and Node.js
• Proficiency in MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with session management, caching, algorithms and data structures, secure coding
• Proficiency in TypeScript, jQuery, web servers and RESTful web services
• Hands-on experience with AMQP/MQTT and message brokers such as RabbitMQ/Kafka
• Flexibility to learn and develop in any language, technology or tool as needed
• Deep understanding of application and infrastructure architecture and non-functional aspects including performance, scalability, reliability and availability
• Problem-solving, collaboration, influencing and articulation skills
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience of OOPS, best practices, refactoring, maintainable/reusable code, design principles and patterns, architecture, TDD, unit testing, debugging and automation
• Ability to break down problems and estimate development task time
