Job summary

Citi in Chennai is looking for a Software Developer to build across iOS, Android, web/Angular and services. You will translate designs into robust, maintainable code, write secure software, and contribute to testable applications.

You will work independently with some direction, participate in analysis, design, testing and implementation, and help drive continuous improvement in CI/CD processes and code quality.

About the role:

• Develop software across multiple platforms including iOS, Android, web/Angular and services
• Write secure, stable, testable and maintainable code
• Build features and functions independently while receiving some direction and oversight
• Participate in applications analysis, design, testing and implementation

What you'll do:

• Translate technical designs into working code on various development platforms
• Solve technical problems using appropriate technologies for small-scale features and components of larger programs
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide time and cost estimates for new or revised systems
• Engage with digital applications, risk technology, middleware, mainframe and non-mainframe development, analytic models and application support
• Consult with users, clients and other technology groups to recommend solutions for customer-facing systems
• Learn and understand the functionality, architecture, dependencies and runtime properties of systems
• Understand business requirements and customer use cases for your projects
• Evaluate system designs and architecture in solution discussions
• Build and maintain project schedules accounting for internal and external dependencies, constraints and contingencies
• Communicate dependencies clearly to the team
• Drive code quality initiatives including unit testing, code performance and CI/CD pipeline automation using tools like SonarQube, Findbugs, RTC, Jenkins and RLM
• Improve team processes to accelerate delivery and lower costs
• Manage risk appropriately in business decisions with focus on compliance, ethics and controls
