Job summary

FPC Global in Pune, India seeks a detail‑oriented Digital Buildings Engineer to lead integration of BMS, IoT, and cloud platforms. You will design, configure, and optimize smart building solutions with cross‑functional teams to drive efficiency and data‑driven decisions.

The role requires 5+ years in building automation and cloud integration, plus a Bachelor’s in a related field. Certifications in BMS and cloud platforms are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands‑on experience in building automation, cloud integration, or IT infrastructure roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in building controls systems and automation technologies.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data security protocols for cloud integrations.
• Proficiency in IP networking fundamentals (IPv4, IPv6, switching, routing, DHCP, WiFi, structured cabling).
• Experience with BMS such as Niagara, Delmatic, Delta, or LoRaWAN.
• Hands‑on experience in IoT device qualification, testing, and integration.
• Proven ability to conduct system audits and site surveys.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to document processes clearly.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including IT, security, networking, and facility management.

Responsibilities

• Assess, analyze, and document existing building systems architecture (BMS, HVAC, lighting, energy management, IoT) for cloud migration compatibility.
• Design and configure cloud infrastructure to receive and manage data from building systems across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
• Develop and implement secure data flow protocols from on‑prem to cloud platforms, ensuring data quality and cybersecurity.
• Perform device qualification, testing, and validation of IoT devices and gateways.
• Troubleshoot data transmission, system compatibility, network connectivity, and device integration issues.
• Collaborate with device manufacturers, IT teams, and facility management to support driver development and resolve challenges.
• Implement encryption, authentication, and access control across integration processes.
• Conduct pre- and post-onboarding testing to validate system performance and data integrity.
• Analyze system data to generate insights on building performance and sustainability for reporting.
• Maintain documentation of onboarding processes, configurations, and specifications.
• Provide technical support and training to on-site staff on cloud-based building tools.
• Represent the organization professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction and effective communication.
• Manage workload efficiently and escalate issues to leadership as needed.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Digital Buildings Engineer to join our growing team in Pune, India. In this role, you will be at the forefront of digital transformation, responsible for integrating diverse building management systems, IoT devices, and facility management solutions into cloud platforms. You will work collaboratively with global teams to design, configure, and optimize smart building solutions that drive operational efficiency and enable data-driven decision-making. • Assess, analyze, and document existing building systems architecture, including BMS, HVAC, lighting, energy management, and IoT devices, to ensure compatibility with cloud migration strategies
• Design and configure cloud infrastructure to receive, process, and manage data from various building systems across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Develop and implement secure data flow protocols from on-premises building systems to cloud platforms, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance with cybersecurity best practices
• Perform device qualification, testing, and validation of IoT devices and gateways across diverse manufacturers and ecosystems
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data transmission, system compatibility, network connectivity, and device integration
• Collaborate with device manufacturers, IT teams, and facility management stakeholders to support driver development, improve system compliance, and resolve technical challenges
• Implement encryption, authentication, and access control measures to protect building and operational data throughout the integration process
• Conduct pre- and post-onboarding testing to validate system performance and data integrity
• Analyze system data and generate insights on building performance, sustainability, and operational efficiency for stakeholder reporting
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of onboarding processes, system configurations, cloud settings, and technical specifications
• Provide technical support and training to on-site staff and facility management teams on cloud-based building management tools
• Represent the organization professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
