Role Overview
We are seeking a hands‑on Release Engineering Leader to own and transform our end‑to‑end software delivery lifecycle across multiple products and teams. This role will build a standardized, scalable, and automated release platform using modern GitOps and DevOps practices, enabling teams to deliver software faster, more reliably, and with minimal friction. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role focused on platform building, automation, and organization‑wide enablement not release coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement GitOps practices and deployment strategies
- Architect and standardize CI/CD pipelines across teams
- Build reusable pipeline templates and shared workflows
- Establish release processes, versioning standards, and deployment strategies
- Implement progressive delivery models (blue‑green, canary) and automated rollback mechanisms
- Drive Infrastructure‑as‑Code adoption and automate environment provisioning
- Design and enable ephemeral and on‑demand environments
- Integrate monitoring, logging, and alerting into the release lifecycle
- Define and track SLIs/SLOs and implement release quality gates
- Embed security practices into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
- Build self‑service deployment platforms and developer "golden paths"
- Partner with engineering teams to drive adoption of standardized practices
- Provide training, documentation, and internal consulting
- Continuously improve release efficiency, reliability, and developer experience
Required Qualifications
- 10-12+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or release engineering
- Proven experience building and scaling CI/CD platforms across multiple teams
- Strong experience with GitOps methodologies and practices
- Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments
- Strong expertise in CI/CD tools and pipeline architecture
- Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools
- Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Bash, or equivalent)
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in microservices and distributed systems architectures
- Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
- Experience building internal developer platforms
- Multi‑cloud or hybrid cloud experience

Release coordinators focused only on scheduling and tracking Candidates with only basic CI/CD exposure Profiles lacking hands‑on engineering depth
