Qualifications

Our SaaS Ops department focuses on delivering SaaS excellence and a great SaaS experience for our customers. BMC’s SaaS Ops team is looking for an Experienced DevOps Engineer to join us and design, develop, and implement complex applications, using the latest technologies.

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

1. Participate in all aspects of SaaS product development, from requirements analysis to product release and sustaining.
2. Drive the adoption of the DevOps process and tools across the organization.
3. Learn and implement cutting-edge technologies and tools to build best of class enterprise SaaS solutions.
4. Deliver high-quality enterprise SaaS offerings on schedule.
5. Develop Continuous Delivery Pipeline.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

1. You have at least 5 years in a DevOps/SRE role.
2. You implemented CI/CD pipelines with best practices.
3. You have experience in Kubernetes.
4. You have knowledge in AWS/Azure Cloud implementation.
5. You worked with GIT repository and JIRA tools.
6. You are passionate about quality and demonstrate creativity and innovation in enhancing the product.
7. You are a problem-solver with good analytical skills.
8. You are a team player with effective communication skills.

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:

1. SRE practices.
2. GitHub/Spinnaker/Jenkins/Maven/JIRA etc.
3. Automation Playbooks (Ansible).
4. Infrastructure-as-a-code (IaaC) using Terraform/Cloud Formation Template/ARM Template.
5. Scripting in Bash/Python/Go.
6. Microservices, Database, API implementation.
7. Monitoring Tools, such as Prometheus/Jager/Grafana/AppDynamic, DataDog, Nagios etc.
8. Agile/Scrum process.
