Job summary

VARITE INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED in Chennai is seeking a Senior GCP DevOps Engineer to join on a permanent basis. The role requires 7 to 12 years of experience with hands-on cloud, containerization, CI/CD, and automation expertise.

The position is a permanent, day-shift role based in office in Chennai, with 2 openings. A strong emphasis on GCP AWS, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps practices is listed in the job description.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or AWS.
• Expertise in Kubernetes (GKE), Docker, and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bamboo.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Experience with DevSecOps tools: HashiCorp Vault, Aqua Security, Twistlock.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts: VPC, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, Load Balancing.
• Experience with API Management: Apigee, Kong.
• Monitoring & logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.
• Scripting: Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Database knowledge: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Cloud SQL.
• Familiarity with security protocols: OAuth2, JWT.

Responsibilities

• Work with GCP/AWS to design and operate cloud infrastructure.
• Manage Kubernetes (GKE) deployments, services, and ingress.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bamboo.
• Use IaC tools Terraform/CloudFormation for provisioning.
• Apply DevSecOps practices with Vault, Aqua/Twistlock.
• Monitor systems with Prometheus, Grafana; log with ELK.
• Develop automation scripts in Bash/Python/PowerShell.
