Job summary

TransUnion GCC India is seeking a DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure. You will manage CI/CD pipelines, drive automation with Terraform and Ansible, and ensure security and high availability across hybrid cloud environments.

You will work in a hybrid setting with regular in-person collaboration at a TU office location and remote work as applicable, contributing to cutting-edge DevOps practices and site reliability engineering efforts.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of Development Ops experience on Hybrid cloud, operating high availability systems on AWS.
• Knowledge of SRE best practices, building tooling for reliability and developer experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with container orchestration, Docker and Kubernetes in cloud production environments.
• Cloud and automation engineering in a mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and security.
• Support, monitor, and enhance live infrastructure and platform solutions for high availability and performance.
• Plan and execute integration of current infrastructure into TransUnion’s group-wide cloud platform with minimal disruption.
• Migrate infrastructure from Legacy to Hybrid cloud and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain and enhance security posture, ensuring compliance with SOC-2, ISO 27001 and other frameworks.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Operations:

• Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
• Support, monitor, and enhance the live infrastructure and platform solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Help plan and execute the integration of our current infrastructure into TransUnions group-wide cloud platform while minimising disruptions.
• Participate in the migration of infrastructure from Legacy to Hybrid cloud

DevOps & Security:

• Maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, collaborating closely with development teams to streamline deployment processes.
• Maintain and enhance our security posture, ensuring compliance with industry standards and frameworks (e.g., SOC-2, ISO 27001).
• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure outages and incidents, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.

Documentation & Best Practices:

• Ensure comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, systems, and processes to support onboarding, troubleshooting, and scalability.
• Promote and implement DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices across the organization.

Required Knowledge And Experiences

At least 3+ years of Development Ops experience on Hybrid cloud experience, operating high availability systems on AWS

Knowledge of SRE best practices, i.e. developing tools that enhance the system performance, reliability and developer experience

2+ years of hands on experience with Container Orchestration, performance tuning, Docker and Kubernetes in cloud production environment

Cloud and automation engineering experience in a mission-critical environment

Strong skills and experience through the CI/CD stack that deploys to infrastructure elements such as Kubernetes

Troubleshooting using observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, etc in complex cloud based environments.

Experience with: IaC (ie. Terraform), Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, Secrets Management, Gitops and all things AWS

Experience writing code/scripts in a modern programming language like Python or Java

Past experiences with Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana would be desirable.
