Qualifications

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in Linux administration, Cloud Platforms, and CI/CD pipeline management using GitLab. The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating deployment processes, managing cloud infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, and supporting application delivery through DevOps best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
• Manage and administer Linux-based servers and environments.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
• Troubleshoot production and non-production environment issues.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, and Infrastructure teams to streamline release management.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management practices.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of applications and infrastructure.
• Manage source code repositories, branching strategies, and release processes.
• Support containerized deployments and orchestration platforms where applicable.
• Maintain documentation for deployment procedures, architecture, and operational processes.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Linux Administration (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform:
• AWS
• Microsoft Azure
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong knowledge of GitLab CI/CD pipeline creation and management.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls, and Security Groups.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Shell Script, Bash, Python, or Groovy.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as:
• Terraform
• CloudFormation
• Ansible
• Experience with containerization tools:
• Docker
• Kubernetes (preferred)
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, or Azure Monitor.
• Understanding of DevOps methodologies, Agile, and SDLC processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant cloud certifications such as:
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner / Solutions Architect
• Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate
• Google Associate Cloud Engineer
• Experience with Kubernetes and Infrastructure Automation tools is highly desirable.
