Job summary

Grid Dynamics in Hyderabad, India, seeks a DevOps engineer with 5-7 years of experience to help shape a GCP-based platform. You will work on monorepo SDLC, Terraform IaC, and Tekton CI/CD, while integrating security testing and cloud-native patterns.

You will deploy on GKE, Istio service mesh, Cloud SQL migrations, and observability with Dynatrace, ensuring reliable, secure microservices across multiple zones.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience as a DevOps engineer in a Monorepo/Infra/DevOps SDLC context.
• Significant experience with GCP resource provisioning via IaC/Terraform.
• Exposure to Tekton CI/CD pipelines and security testing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Focus on native GCP services (GKE) with no third-party platforms.
• GCP provisioning as code using Terraform.
• Security testing and scanning tool decisions during discovery.
• Databases migrated to Cloud SQL.
• Environment defined for up to 8 initial microservices; release plan in Discovery.
• Design to be multi-zone, not multi-region.

• CCoE for key architectural decisions and backlog prioritization
• DevSecOps Pipelines for Infrastructure as Code
• Base VPC/network standards and HA/DR patterns
• GKE container management as the new microservices platform
• Authentication and authorization framework
• API security and platform integration
• Operational readiness through rigorous testing supported by an SRE model

Responsibilities

• Focus is on native GCP services (GKE and no 3rd party or OSS platforms)
• GCP will be provisioned as code using Terraform
• Security testing & scanning tools will be decided during discovery
• Databases will be re-platformed to Cloud SQL
• Environment will be specified for up to 8 initial microservices (release plan finalized before end of Discovery)
• Design will include multi-zone, not multi-region

Requirements

5-7 years of exp as a Devops engineer who has significant experience working on Monorepo, Infra/Devops SDLC environment, GCP resource provisioning through IA/Terraform, Tekton CI/CD Pipelines,

Integrating App Security - static/dynamic open source code scans, Artifact registry, JSON, Service mesh Istio, Java/microservices deployment in GCP.

Serverless and non-serverless (ie Kubernetes) microservices deployments.

Observability and monitoring of microservices - GCP Native & Dynatrace.

Needs to have a good background in networking, authorization and authentication IAM

Nice to have

Experience with Apigee, Spring cloud gateway and other API Gateways a plus.
