Job summary

Abel Techsoft Pvt Ltd in India is seeking a DevOps Engineer with 3+ years of production experience in Terraform and AKS. You will design, deploy and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and containerized applications.

You will build CI/CD pipelines, implement security best practices, monitor systems with Prometheus/Grafana, and collaborate with software teams to improve reliability and deployment efficiency.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering experience.
• Hands-on with Terraform including modules, remote state, variables, workspaces and IaC best practices.
• Strong experience with AKS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Good understanding of pods, deployments, services, ingress, secrets, resource limits, autoscaling, and storage.
• Knowledge of Azure networking, VNets, subnets, NSGs, endpoints, DNS, load balancers, and app gateways.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus or Grafana.
• CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions; Git and Linux administration; scripting in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Awareness of cloud security, high availability, backup/recovery, and reliability principles.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with 3+ years of relevant DevOps/Cloud experience and strong hands‑on production experience in Terraform and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

Key Responsibilities

Provision, configure, and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform (IaC) .

• Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules and manage remote state across environments.
• Deploy, manage, scale, upgrade, and troubleshoot containerised applications running on AKS .
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• Manage Kubernetes deployments and configurations using Helm .
• Monitor infrastructure and application availability, performance, capacity, and security.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes, deployment, and production issues.
• Implement and maintain appropriate access controls, secrets management, and security practices.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in production support, incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and preventive improvements.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering experience .
  
• Strong hands‑on experience with Terraform , including reusable modules, remote state management, variables, workspaces/environment management, and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
  
• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm .
  
• Good understanding of Kubernetes concepts including pods, deployments, services, ingress, configuration, secrets, resource limits, autoscaling, and persistent storage.
  
• Working knowledge of Azure networking , including VNets, subnets, NSGs, private endpoints, DNS, load balancers, and application gateways.
  
• Working knowledge of Azure identity and access management , including Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities, and service principals.
  
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and/or Prometheus/Grafana .
  
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions .
  
• Proficiency with Git and Linux administration .
  
• Scripting experience using Bash, PowerShell, or Python .
  
• Good understanding of cloud security, high availability, backup/recovery, and infrastructure reliability principles.
  
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
