Needl.ai LLP in Bengaluru seeks an experienced DevOps engineer to strengthen our multi-cloud infrastructure. You will automate deployment, manage Docker and Kubernetes clusters, write IaC with Terraform and Helm, and implement CI/CD with GitHub Actions. You will collaborate with platform-ops and product teams to improve reliability and security.

Candidates should have 1–2 years in DevOps, a CS-related degree, experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Python, and Linux.

• BS degree in CS or related field.
• Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and IaC tools (Terraform, Helm).
• Proficiency in Python and Git; familiarity with GitHub Actions.
• Good experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Strong Linux (Ubuntu) knowledge and problem-solving abilities.

We seek an experienced DevOps engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will possess good knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring our services' reliability, scalability, and efficiency, utilising cutting-edge tools and practices such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, shell scripting, and GitHub Actions. The selected candidate will work with other platform-ops engineers, and also collaborate with other engineering and product teams at Needl.ai.

The right candidate must have a good understanding of various cloud components and have the experience of setting up cloud components from 0 to 1.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain our multi-cloud infrastructure using AWS and Azure.
• Build, scale, and secure application cloud infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Write and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and Helm.
• Automate workflows using shell scripting and GitHub Actions.
• Set up and maintain observability solutions using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment.
• Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability.
• Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation.
• Implement best security practices to safeguard the application.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 to 2 years of work experience as a professional DevOps engineer.
• BS degree in Computer Science and Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role in software development and system administration.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Helm.
• Experience in shell scripting and automation.
• Proficiency in Python and Git.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• Good experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Good understanding of Linux systems, preferably Ubuntu.
• Good problem-solving abilities and capable of managing complex system setups.
• Excellent communication skills.
