Job summary

Exostar is seeking an experienced DevOps/Full-Stack Engineer to build and automate cloud-native applications. You will develop end-to-end solutions, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and craft IaC scripts across Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

You will collaborate onsite with peers in Bengaluru to rapidly debug and deploy, while embracing Generative AI tools to accelerate delivery. You should have 6-8 years in software/devops, proficiency in at least one major language, and experience with cloud

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in software development, DevOps, or related roles.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or .NET.
• Hands-on experience using Generative AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Codex) to write, refactor, or troubleshoot code.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI and modern pipelines.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or Google Cloud acceptable).
• Scripting/automation in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Understanding IaC; Terraform a plus.
• Basic knowledge of containers and Linux-based development.
• Willingness to work onsite in a collaborative environment.

• Support the monitoring and observability of automation solutions, ensuring performance, traceability, and availability.
• Help document processes, tools, and learnings to improve team productivity and onboarding for future engineers.
• Take ownership of tasks and demonstrate a bias for action, even when working in unfamiliar areas.

Required Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in software development, DevOps, or related technical roles, including internships or personal projects.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or .NET.
• Hands-on experience using Generative AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Codex) to write, refactor, or troubleshoot code.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI, and a basic understanding of modern software delivery pipelines.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or Google Cloud acceptable) through academic, project, or hands-on experience.
• Comfort with scripting and automation in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Understanding Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles; experience with tools like Terraform is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of containers and development in Linux-based environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proven ability to learn new technologies independently as needed.
• Willingness to work onsite in a collaborative environment, engaging directly with peers to deliver working solutions quickly.
• Bachelors Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or contributing to internal tools, automation frameworks, or developer platforms.
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) and related concepts like Helm or service meshes.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and working in compliance-driven environments (e.g., FedRAMP, ITAR, NIST).
• Demonstrated ability to prototype quickly and iterate using AI-assisted coding workflows.
• Coursework or certification in cloud architecture, DevOps, or cybersecurity.
• Contributions to open-source projects or strong personal coding portfolio showcasing full stack or DevOps-related work.
• Bachelors Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other related field
