Responsibilities

• Leading development of new software solutions and services using cloud software development techniques.
• Monitoring cloud resources for performance, availability, and cost optimization.
• Building opinionated cloud environments and platforms aligned with business and security strategies and requirements.
• Leading the building of standards, designs, and automating the deployment of software in cloud environments.
• Designing and developing solutions that protect and manage cloud native apps and data.
• Assisting in the creation of technology strategy and engineering roadmaps around cloud platforms.
• Partnering with DevOps to develop tooling and infrastructure for cloud development and cloud operations use cases, focusing on microservices deployment and distributed systems monitoring and fault analysis.
• Evaluating new and emerging cloud and web technologies for incorporation into existing systems.
• Considering maturity of new technology and change management of existing cloud infrastructure to make the best recommendations.
• Working closely with stakeholders to provide status, iterative releases, and make design recommendations throughout development.
• Contributing innovative ideas and leading large cross-functional teams, exercising independent judgment to solve unique and complex problems impacting the business.
• Providing mentorship and guidance to lower-level employees, ensuring realization of operational and strategic plans.

Requirements

• Four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Ten or more years of professional experience, preferably in distributed and cloud computing, software & cloud design, programming languages, agile development methodologies, or a related field.
• Preferred certifications: AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, CSA certified.
• Knowledge & skills: Software engineering, agile methodology, Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL, Kubernetes, Docker, React.js, Angular, DevOps, automation, microservices, full‑stack development, cloud platforms.
