Job summary

Arrive is seeking a DevOps/CI-CD Engineer in Bengaluru to own and evolve the common CI/CD framework within the Global Platform. You will bridge the platform and internal development teams, driving automation and reliability while improving the developer experience.

You will explore new technologies, lead migrations, and contribute to docs and onboarding, with a focus on modernizing the SDLC and integrating AI-enhanced tooling.

Qualifications

• CI/CD expertise with GitHub Actions and robust deployments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Go).
• Strong Kubernetes administration and deployment strategies.
• Practical GitOps with ArgoCD.
• Experience with Helm Charts (Umbrella Charts desirable).
• Secure configurations in Kubernetes using Sealed Secrets.

As a DevOps/CI/CD Engineer at Arrive, you will be positioned at the heart of our engineering organization. You will be a core member of the team responsible for managing and evolving the common CI/CD framework that powers our central Global Platform. In this highly visible and central role, you will act as a bridge between the platform and Arrive’s internal development teams. We are looking for a proactive self-starter and a natural problem solver who thrives in a self organizing environment.

You won't just be maintaining the status quo; you will be actively involved in evolving the solution over time, exploring emerging technologies, and continuously improving the developer experience at Arrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Management: Manage, maintain, and evolve the common CI/CD framework as a critical component of Arrive’s Global Platform.
• Automation & Tooling: Design, build, and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline developer workflows and improve the CI/CD pipeline's efficiency and reliability. Job Description for DevOps Engineer
• Customer Support & Collaboration: Act as the primary technical contact for Arrive’s internal development teams. Understand their unique requirements, troubleshoot their issues, and provide timely, effective solutions.
• Independent Problem Solving: Take ownership of platform issues. Investigate root causes, propose robust solutions, and implement fixes with a high degree of autonomy.
• Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate closely with other teams within the Development Experience organization to ensure a cohesive and seamless internal developer journey.
• Documentation & Onboarding: Create, maintain, and update high-quality technical documentation to facilitate the smooth onboarding of developers onto the CI/CD platform.
• System Migrations: Plan and execute seamless migrations from legacy or alternative CI/CD solutions to our standardized platform.
• Continuous Improvement & AI Integration: Work actively to evaluate new tools, including the application of Agentic AI, to continuously evolve the platform's architecture, capabilities, and overall developer productivity.

Quality & Operations

• Plan and execute validation for your systems, ensuring repeatable and traceable practices while understanding common failure points.
• Plan and execute validation for systems, utilizing repeatable and traceable practices to monitor performance and mitigate potential security or operational risks.
• Understand testing coverage and common failure points, contributing to documentation to ensure the team learns from every incident.
• Identify recurring operational issues (e.g., latency, throughput bottlenecks) and propose improvements to our cloud-native environment.

Required Skills

Technical Requirements

• CI/CD Expertise: Strong, hands-on experience with GitHub and building robust, scalable deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in at least one scripting or high-level programming language (e.g., Bash, Python, Go) to create automation and tooling.
• Container Orchestration: Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, administration, and deployment strategies.
• GitOps & Continuous Delivery: Solid practical experience utilizing ArgoCD.
• Configuration Management: Proficiency in creating and managing Helm Charts (specific experience with Umbrella Charts is highly desirable).
• Security & Secrets: Experience managing secure configurations in Kubernetes, specifically using Sealed Secrets.

Soft Skills & Attributes

• Proactive Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, manage your own time, and drive issues to resolution without needing to be micro-managed.
• Interpersonal Communication: Excellent relationship-building skills to effectively interact with both internal "developers" (developers) and peer teams within Development Experience.
• Written Communication: Strong writing skills with a proven ability to translate complex technical workflows into accessible, user-friendly documentation.
• Innovative Mindset: A genuine passion for exploring new technologies, with an interest in Agentic AI and its potential to revolutionize the SDLC, and modernizing existing infrastructure.

• Certifications: Holding a current Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification will be considered a significant advantage.
