Job summary

Rysun Labs seeks a hands-on Release Engineering Leader to own the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle. You will build a scalable, automated release platform using GitOps and DevOps practices, enabling teams to ship faster with fewer incidents.

This role emphasizes platform building, automation, and organization-wide enablement over release coordination, with a strong focus on security, observability, and developer experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering, DevOps, or release engineering.
• Proven experience scaling CI/CD platforms across multiple teams.
• Strong GitOps experience.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and container deployments.
• Expertise in CI/CD tooling and pipeline architecture.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Scripting in Python or Bash; cloud platforms (Azure preferred).

Responsibilities

• Define and implement GitOps practices and deployment strategies.
• Architect and standardize CI/CD pipelines across teams.
• Build reusable pipeline templates and shared workflows.
• Establish release processes, versioning standards, and deployment strategies.
• Implement progressive delivery models (blue-green, canary) and automated rollback mechanisms.
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code adoption and automate environment provisioning.
• Design and enable ephemeral and on-demand environments.
• Integrate monitoring, logging, and alerting into the release lifecycle.
• Define and track SLIs/SLOs and implement release quality gates.
• Embed security practices into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
• Build self-service deployment platforms and developer “golden paths”.
• Partner with engineering teams to drive adoption of standardized practices.
• Provide training, documentation, and internal consulting.
• Continuously improve release efficiency, reliability, and developer experience.

Required Qualifications
