Detailed Job Description

As a DevOps / Cloud Platform Engineer supporting HireAlpha on a full-time professional basis across Pan India, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of production workload deployment, infrastructure automation, release management, and JVM performance debugging. Your day-to-day responsibilities include building and supporting production workloads on Kubernetes (EKS), automating cloud infrastructure with Terraform, designing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Argo CD, planning EKS upgrades and canary deployments, troubleshooting complex production issues including JVM problems in Java microservices, collaborating with multidisciplinary software engineering squads during agile sprint cycles, and interacting directly with technical recruiters like Bhawana Sain.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, configure, and maintain high-availability production workloads and microservices clusters on Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning, networking components, and IAM policies utilizing Terraform infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Design, build, and optimize robust continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing Jenkins and Argo CD.
• Plan and execute seamless Amazon EKS cluster upgrades, minor version migrations, and zero-downtime canary deployments.
• Perform rigorous troubleshooting, thread dumping, memory profiling, and root-cause analysis for JVM problems in Java-based microservices.
• Administer container runtimes (Docker, Podman), Helm charts, Ingress controllers, and service mesh architectures (Istio/Linkerd).
• Implement comprehensive cloud security hardening, access controls, network policies, and automated backup disaster recovery routines.
• Maintain meticulous technical documentation, cloud network architecture diagrams, CI/CD runbooks, and incident post-mortem logs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive professional hands-on experience in DevOps engineering, cloud platforms, and SRE operations.
• Strong, demonstrable operational expertise in AWS Cloud architecture and Kubernetes / EKS cluster administration.
• Comprehensive working knowledge and practical proficiency in CI/CD automation tools including Jenkins, Terraform, and Argo CD.
• Deep practical experience with containerization tools (Docker, Podman) and package management (Helm, Ingress, Istio/Linkerd).
• Solid practical grasp of JVM troubleshooting, Java microservices performance tuning, and production support methodologies.
• Exceptional analytical problem-solving aptitude, system debugging capabilities, and professional stakeholder communication skills.
• Mandatory legal work authorization and physical availability for professional operations across Pan India.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Hands-on practical development experience utilizing Golang for automation scripts and Kubernetes operator development.
• Professional cloud certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
• Prior professional working experience in top-tier product companies, SaaS enterprises, or high-growth technology startups.
• Experience utilizing enterprise observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK stack) and IT service management tools.
