Job description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our engineering infrastructure — designing, building, and operating the systems that enable our development teams to ship software reliably, securely, and at scale. You will champion DevOps culture across the organization, drive automation initiatives, manage our cloud infrastructure, and ensure the highest standards of platform reliability and security. In addition to hands‑on DevOps engineering work, this role carries people‑leadership responsibility: you will lead and manage the Monitoring Engineers team, guiding their day‑to‑day work, growth, and performance. This is a senior, hands‑on position with significant scope and visibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines for multiple applications and services
  • Manage pipeline tooling including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
  • Enforce branching strategies, build quality gates, and automated deployment approvals
  • Integrate SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning tools into pipeline workflows
  • Implement blue/green, canary, and rolling deployment strategies to minimize downtime
  • Architect, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS
  • Manage multi‑environment setups (dev, staging, production) with proper isolation
  • Design scalable, fault‑tolerant architectures leveraging auto‑scaling, load balancing, and multi‑AZ deployments
  • Manage container platforms using Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE, or self‑managed clusters)
  • Build and maintain Docker images, Helm charts, and container registries
  • Build alerting frameworks and on‑call runbooks; lead post‑incident reviews and blameless retrospectives
  • Drive MTTR reduction through automation, self‑healing systems, and runbook automation
  • Implement DevSecOps practices — shift‑left security, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation
  • Automate repetitive infrastructure and operational tasks using scripting languages
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash/Shell, Go, or PowerShell
  • Develop internal tooling, CLI utilities, and self‑service developer portals
  • Serve as a trusted partner to development, QA, and security teams — enabling fast, safe delivery
Lead Role & Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Monitoring Engineers, overseeing daily operations, shift coverage, and on‑call rotations
  • Set technical direction and best practices for monitoring, alerting, and observability across the platform
  • Hire, mentor, and coach monitoring team members; conduct performance reviews and support career development
  • Own escalation management, ensuring critical incidents are triaged and resolved swiftly by the monitoring team
  • Partner with engineering, SRE, and leadership stakeholders to define monitoring strategy, SLAs, and SLOs
  • Drive process improvements, training, and skill development within the monitoring function
  • Act as the primary point of contact for monitoring‑related escalations and cross‑team coordination, while balancing hands‑on DevOps engineering work with team leadership
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 6 years of hands‑on experience as a DevOps, Platform, or Site Reliability Engineer
  • Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP (AWS preferred)
  • Hands‑on experience with Docker and container image lifecycle management
  • Proven CI/CD pipeline design experience with tools like Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
  • Scripting proficiency in Python and/or Bash for automation and tooling
  • Experience with monitoring/observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Datadog
  • Experience with Git workflows, branching strategies, and code review practices
  • Advanced Kubernetes skills — cluster administration, networking, storage, and security
